About Margaret Silander
Margaret Silander uses her considerable skills in Hypnotherapy,
Aromatherapy, Herbal
Medicine and Indian
Head Massage to present an holistic approach to your
problems, physical or psychological.
She is able to offer help with a wide range of complaints
and she has a particular interest in women's health issues;
here she is able to combine her therapies in the treatment
of PMS and other menstrual disorders, menopausal symptoms,
thrush etc as well as helping to overcome difficulties
with fertility, easing some of the problems during pregnancy
eg morning sickness, constipation, insomnia and facilitating
a more fulfilling experience of childbirth
with hypnosis.
She is based in Ashford, Kent but, as her clinic is close to Junction 10 of the M20, she is easily accessible from the neighbouring towns of Tenterden, Hythe, Folkestone, Maidstone and Canterbury as well as from the villages surrounding Ashford.
Margaret qualified as an Aromatherapist
in 1995 and is a member of the International
Federation of Professional Aromatherapists. She then
enrolled on a four year course with the School of Phytotherapy
in East Sussex and qualified as a Medical Herbalist
in 1999. She is a Member of the National
Institute of Medical Herbalists.
Margaret obtained a qualification in Indian
Head Massage in 2003 and is registered with the London
Centre of Indian Champissage International. She qualified
as a Hypnotherapist in
2004 and is an Affiliate Member of the General
Hypnotherapy Register
Margaret was a Social Worker with Kent County Council Social Services Department for over 30 years.
- She worked with elderly people for 7 years and with people with mental health problems for over 10 years.
- She is a member of MIND.
- She is an approved Foster Carer for children with disabilities
Margaret is
- a member of NCT
(Natural Childbirth Trust)
- subject to Enhanced Disclosure issued by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB),
- fully insured and
- has regular supervision
