Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP)

A complementary therapy using thoughts & language

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) explores the relationship between how we think (neuro), how we communicate (linguistic) and our patterns of behaviour and emotion (programmes). By studying and learning from these relationships we can effectively transform the way we think and act, adopting new, far more successful models of human excellence.

NLP is therefore a powerful change management tool that transforms the way people think and act to have the greatest impact both professionally and personally.

NLP is a fairly recent development, originating in the United States in the mid-seventies. A group of talented people led by Richard Bandler and John Grinder at the University of Santa Cruz came together to share information and insights across disciplinary boundaries. It incorporates insights from behavioural and Gestalt psychology, family therapy, hypnotherapy, linguistics, information theory and anthropology, among many other disciplines

A wide variety of issues can be resolved with NLP, examples of this are unwanted habits and behaviours, fears and phobias, panic attacks and anxiety, addictions and obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, limiting beliefs, stress and insomnia, stammering, health and weight issues, relationship issues, past trauma, and painful memories.

Margaret regularly uses NLP techniques in Hypnotherapy sessions and finds the combination works well.
